We now have printing services available at Bamboosa! It is not traditional screen printing, but rather the new technology -
Direct to Garment Digital Printing.
It is the most environmentally friendly printing that is available!
The ink system is a water based system that is self-contained and produces no waste. Unlike traditional screen printing with plastisol inks, there are NO screen emulsions, solvents or reclaim chemicals. This process also produces a shirt with a very soft hand, unlike plastisols, which are usually somewhat stiff and ‘harsh’.
The only down side to this type printing is that these inks do not have a lot of pigment in them so they do not work well when trying to print an ink color that is a lighter color than the garment. In example, if you wanted a bright yellow on our Sweetgrass Green shirt, you would not be able to achieve that. Also, there is no white ink in this system.
